Jean Paul Estiévenart (Brussels, Belgium, 1985). Over the course of almost two decades, trumpeter Jean Paul Estiévenart built a career for himself as one of the most wanted sidemen in Belgium. He appeared on over 40 albums, and his resume sports names such as fellow trumpeter Avishai Cohen, Logan Richardson, Joe Lovano, Noel Gallagher, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Perico Sambeat, Maria Schneider, and he continues to tour tirelessly with several larger ensembles and bigbands, as well as his own trio and quintet.

His own trio released debut album Wanted on WERF Records in 2013. Sharp Jazz Master Tracks followers may notice the trumpeter’s connection to guitarist Romain Pilon, who joinedthe ranks of his quintet in 2018. Offering a new take on Belgian jazz through his signature approach of lyricism and energy, Estievenart’s career as a leader has probably only just begun..
