Jason Brown (New York, US, 1978), a popular drummer and sideman, has been a driving force behind major artists since the early days of his career. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, Brown learned his trade from Billy Hart himself. He toured and recorded with Grammy-nominated vocalist and composer Carmen Lundy for seven years, appeared alongside Pat Martino at major festivals worldwide, and has worked with renowned artists such as Lizz Wright, Nicholas Payton, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. Now a key member of Amina Figarova’s Sextet, Jason Brown has performed at major venues throughout the world. He continues to tour with his quintet, featuring saxophonist Steve Grossman, across the USA.
